whats the widest tire size that you guys have been able to put on a 'teg without rubbing? what did you have to bend/shape/remove to make the tires not rub?

I think the largest that can fit on the rear are 225, and the largest in front is 215 without rubbage.....

i can't fit anything larger than 205's as it is now. i'm thinking about trimming out the inside fender well to make more clearance room, and rolling the outside fender if necessary. i'd prefer not to have to raise my ride height if possible.

To fit wider tires I'd think you'd need rims with the appropriate offsets as well. A 205/50/15 should fit on the stock rim and work with no adjustment. 215 or 225 won't fit on a stock rim, you'd probably need a x7" or x7.5" rim for the 215 and 225 respectively, which would require more offset- probably a 42 offset for a x7" rim. Real wheel experts chime in.

Let me re-state...

215-50-15 fit fine on stock GSR wheels and fit the car fine.

225/50/15's can be run on OE "6inch" GSR rims. I have done it.

Yes, they rub in the front, but only lock to lock turns, no biggie whatsoever. The rear on the other hand, they will not fit without a 1/4" spacer, and even with that, they slightly rub on the trailing arm ever so slightly, no biggie though. Also, you MUST roll the rear fenders(use a baseball bat)to use that 225 in the rear. I had rolled my rear fenders and rolled over what i could in the front fender section to make 225s work on my car, it works.

Right there is gonna be your BIG rubb area...also, if you choose to do this, id "bend over" the pinch weld at the top of the fender well, youll see what i mean if you take the fender liner out(i didnt run fenderliners). Just take a hammer and vent some frustration......Well, either that or go get all pissy on a message board about LEADED/UNLEADED RACE GAS! LOL!

Sure hopei got my facts on that one!

my front fender wells look like that pic above, and im running 205/50/15's on stock 95 GSR rims.
Lowered about 1.3 inches.

I never got an alignment after i lowered it cuz after lowering it, my car actually drove straighter when i'd let go of the steering wheel than it did before so i think i fixed whatever was wrong before.

Is it the toe in i believe that u can adjust for how much your wheel angles in when u turn?

because the only time I've ever rubbed has been when i've had to fully crank my wheel over while going like 35-40 mph + while autoXing.
